Word Translator
This is here, incase you want to print from a web page.
In order to use the Help window as a key word translator, the following is required:
a. A valid installed copy of RISDBC or DBConstructor.
b. A tool bar in your web browser that will translate the text content of
web pages from the content language to your own language.
The process carried out is as follows:
a. All the key words in the multi-line edit field of the Help window are
collected and placed in the web browser.
b. The translated content of the web browser window is copied to the
Personal Translator window.
c. The 6th. menu item Update translation on the right mouse key of the
Personal Translator window is used to generate the required data
structure.
d. After the data conversion is complete, double click on a word in the
multi-line edit field of this window and read the translation in the
text field above.
e. If help text has been translated, it will remain on your computer, until
the 7th. menu item Delete Help Translation is used to delete it.
To Translate Help Text to Words:
1. Click the [ Trans. Help ] button. The key words in the text will be
collected and placed in a web page by the program. The Personal
Translator window will become visible.
2. Use the translator button or the menu item that is found on the tool bar
of the web browser window to translate the text to the language that you
are using on your computer or you want to translate to.
3. Use the Select All menu item of the web browser to select all the text
that has been translated.
4. Use the Copy menu item of the web browser to copy the text.
5. Paste the copied text into the multi-line edit field of the Personal
Translator window.
7. Use the 6th. menu item, Update Translation on the right mouse key of the
Personal Translator window to update your PC with the converted text
from the Help window. In this case, the Personal Translator window will
be closed after the conversion is completed, because it is no longer
required.
Use The Word Translator:
1. Double click on a word in the multi-line edit field and read the
translation in the text field above.
To Translate Any Text to Words:
Use the Web Shop as a general purpose vocabulary and language trainer.
1. Copy selected text from any window, including any web browser window.
2. Use the 4th. menu item Paste to paste the text into the multi-line edit
field of this Help window.
3. Click the [ Trans. Any Text ] button. The key words in the text will be
collected and placed in a web page. The Personal Translator window will
become visible.
4. Use the translator button or the menu item that is found on the tool bar
of the web browser window to translate the text to the language that you
are using on your computer.
5. Use the Select All menu item of the web browser to select all the text
that has been translated.
6. Use the Copy menu item of the web browser to copy the text.
7. Paste the copied text into the multi-line edit field of the Personal
Translator window.
8. Use the 6th. menu item Update Translation menu item on the right mouse
key of the Personal Translator window to update the conversion list for
the text in the Help window. The window will be closed after the
conversion is completed.
9. double click on any word in the multi-line edit field of this window and
read the translation in the text field above it.
To Copy or Append the Word to a Destination Table:
This function is useful, if for example, you want to make language tutoring pages (*.wmp).
1. Click the [ Save Trans. ] button.
2. Input or select the destination table name.
3. In the Dialog that is shown, select the number of table fields that you
require.
4. Click the [OK] button.
a. If the table already exists in the destination directory, the list of
new key words will be appended to it.
b. If the table does not exist, a new table file will be created in the
destination directory and the list of key words copied to it.
c. This allows a user to expand a list of key words by collecting words
from different text sources.
d. Use RISDBC or DBConstructor to modify the content of the resulting
table and or convert it to a *.tab table.
