Payment

If you know that you can use
internet banking and or credit card, you should have that information at hand just before you click the [Buy Now] button that will be shown on the Customer Orders page.

If media that you preview represent solid products, the supplier will provide further information about transportation and any other requirements as part of the product description.

If a solid object is being sold, the file that is extracted and down loaded to you will be a description of the product in question. It may be just a picture and some text.

After the program has started, you will be looking at the World Wide Media ®ª© page that is used to preview and select media products.

*.wwm File:

Select this file type, when you want to rent or buy media. It is a container for the media that you select, so that only one file will be sent by down load. Use the free ware media player WWM Player to play and or extract it's contents into a directory on your PC. Rented files can not be extracted.

*.req File:

Select this file type, when you want to buy media. It is a container for the media that you select, so that only one file will be sent by down load. Use WWM Player or Library Eye to extract it's contents into a directory on your PC.

Note: If all else fails, you may need to load a mp3 Maker and a Movie Maker program that will automatically set up your sound and video for best performance, or update what ever you need from the internet. For example, if you have lost *.mpeg, *.wmv or *.wma capability, reload your operating system or the part of it that is required, if you know what it is.

How to Test Buy

If you have never used an internet payment service please click the [Browse] button and read the 'Test Buy' section of the help text shown in the Customer Orders page.

How to Buy a *.wwm File

1. If you have an order that you have not yet received, switch to the Web
Browser page and load the *.htm successful payment file that you had
saved after the return from the payment provider. The instructions for
saving the successful payment page are in the Customer Orders page when
   it is being used.

2.
Do not place any files in keep memory, if you have a *.wwm of *.req file
that you have not yet received.

Keep memory is used as a collecting point for files that you want to buy,
            rent or are for free.

Important: Loading new media will not modify Keep memory, therefore
Keep memory can contain data from any number of media sources.

Note: a *.wwm or *.req file can contain any file type including other *.wwm
      and/or *.req files.

If you do not already have one or the other, get the table maker program
RISDBC or DBConstructor so that you can make a password protected *.tab
file and use it to keep track of your passwords and other important data.

Selection Example: One can select a song from 10 different media categories and place the 10 songs in a *.wwm file. The content of the *.wwm file can be extracted to a directory from where that data can be placed on a CD or used for other purposes.

1. Use the process described in the
Selecting: section above to select and
preview the material that you want.

2. Check the content of the 'Preview Mode:' field as well as any text
   desciption available.

3. Click on file names in the 'Selected Media' list box then click the
   [
Keep] button in order to add the file names to Keep memory.

4. Use the What's in Keep menu item, that is on the right mouse key when it
is in the 'Selected Media' list box, to check the contents of keep
memory. The Selected  Media list box is white when it is showing the
   contents of keep memory.

5. Type in your own file code or have the system generate one for you.

6. Click the [*.wwm File] button and input a file name, for example,
    "mytest".

7. Answer any confirmation dialogs with 'Yes' or 'OK'. The program will
then switch to the Customer Orders page. Buy or Test Buy the selection
   there.

How to Buy a *.req File

Note:
A *.req file can contain any file type that is for sale or free. For example, it may happen that a particular artist is selling the content of a CD en-capsulated in a *.req file. In such cases, the file code will be provided as part of the text description. A *.req file can be extracted to a *.req file or a *.wwm file, OK. Use WWM Player or Library Eye to get to the contents of such files.

1. Use the instructions from
Selecting: to select the media files that
   you require.

2. Click the [*.req File] button and input a file name, for example,
    "mytest".

3. You will be switched to the Customer Orders page, where the order can
be purchased as defined. Buy or Test Buy the selection there.

Follow up order:

A follow up order is any purchase that is made at a web shop within a from  shop owner specified period of time after a previous order. If a web shop gives a rebate on follow up orders, the rebate will be calculated as a percentage (%) of the total purchase price of the new order. The resulting rebate value will then be subtracted from the original purchase price to produce the final sale price.

Example Calculation:
FinalSalePrice = OriginalSalePrice - (OriginalSalePrice * Rebate/100)

Important: You must use the same email address for follow up orders as was used for the first order, otherwise you will not get the rebate. You will see the effect of a rebate on a price, when you reach the Customer Orders page.

Enjoy your shopping.
